Who we are

This website is operated by The Selfish Chef Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales, trading as Axis Partners AI (“we”, “us”). We are the data controller for the personal information collected through this site.

What we collect

• Contact form enquiries: your name, email address, phone number if you give it, and the content of your message.
• Newsletter sign-ups: your email address and the fact that you ticked the consent box.
• Technical data: the IP address, browser and device information that our hosting provider records in server logs, and, where Google Analytics is enabled, anonymised usage data such as pages viewed and approximate location.

We do not knowingly collect any special category data (such as health or political information) and ask that you do not send it to us.

Why we use it and our lawful basis

• To answer your enquiry and discuss work with you: our legitimate interest in running the business, and the steps needed before entering a contract with you.
• To send the newsletter you asked for: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
• To keep the site secure and understand how it is used: our legitimate interest in operating a working website.

Where it goes

We use a small number of service providers to run this site and handle your messages. Each acts on our instructions under a data processing agreement.

• Vercel Inc. hosts the website and its server logs.
• Asana, Inc. stores enquiries and newsletter sign-ups in a private project so we can manage and respond to them.
• Resend, Inc. sends the email notification and acknowledgement when you submit a form.
• Google provides our email service and, where enabled, Google Analytics.

Some of these providers process data in the United States. Where they do, transfers are protected by the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or by the UK International Data Transfer Agreement and standard contractual clauses.

We do not sell personal information and we do not share it with anyone else for their own marketing.

How long we keep it

• Enquiries: up to two years after our last contact, or six years after the end of any work that follows, to meet our legal and accounting obligations.
• Newsletter: for as long as you remain subscribed. Unsubscribe by replying to any issue or emailing us, and we remove you within a few days.
• Technical data: for the retention periods set by our hosting and analytics providers, typically no more than a few months.

Cookies

The site itself sets no cookies for content. If Google Analytics is enabled, it sets cookies to distinguish visitors; these are only loaded where analytics is configured. You can block cookies in your browser settings and the site will continue to work.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask us to access, correct, erase or restrict the personal information we hold about you, object to our processing, ask for a copy in a portable format, and withdraw consent where we rely on it. Email will@axispartnersai.com and we will respond within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.

Changes

We will update this policy when our practices or providers change and show the date of the latest version at the top of the page.
